Originally we were not going to tour the Biltmore Estate
because it is kind of expensive and I didn’t know if it would be worth it. But
then we heard just the most amazing things ever about it, and so we decided we
had to go.
There are multiple parts to the estate, making it a
multi-part activity. We drove up and visited the house first which was SO
beautiful and really cool on the inside. (no photos allowed) Everything was labeled with number to
facilitate a self- guided tour, which was really nice. The old furniture on the
inside of the house was beautiful.
After the house we walked around the extensive gardens next
to the house. Things were just beginning to bloom in some places and become
absolutely stunning. If it had been two weeks later I think the whole place
would have been too beautiful to handle. Especially we the backdrop of the blue
ridge mountains.
Then we got up and drove to the winery and separate area of
Biltmore. The winery and such was another large area to explore with animal
stables and other such things. But at this point we were pretty tired. So we
mostly waited for the wine tasting, tried a bunch of different, and AH-mazing,
Biltmore wines, and then called it a day
and drove home.
I am so glad we went to the Biltmore because it was a lot of
fun to see, I would have been sad if we had skipped it.
